It is my pleasure to provide this letter of reference for Gord Hawley, who was a DJ for a "Dinner and Dance Party" for BMHA Hockey Volunteers on May 2, 2002. Gord agreed to be our DJ on quite short notice, at some inconvenience to himself as he had to juggle his schedule and rent some additional equipment to meet our needs. He took care of this efficiently and pleasantly. Gord played just the right music as the evening went along, adapting it for pre-dinner socializing, during dinner, and then keeping the dance floor full as the evening went along. I received lots of compliments from party attendees that evening and in the days following. We will certainly be asking Gord to be the DJ at our next party (and there will be one, since people had so much fun this time!).

I wanted to take a few moments to write you a letter and to let you know how much Christine and I appreciated all your efforts in helping make our Wedding such a memorable time for our guests and us. I have received several complements on the music selection from many of our 160 guests most of whom have made appointments with their local Cobbler to have their worn out soles replaced. Your attention to detail and making sure that everything was sounding great from: • the two PA systems for our two Emcees. • the hall speakers for the pre-dinner cocktail hour. • for being prepared for the Flutist and Harpist at the out-door ceremony. • for being prepared for mic’s for the Priest and Soloists • to coordinating the presentation and timing with our Wedding planner and having a guest mic also available during the speeches. As you know I have had a lot of experience with DJ’s in my past endeavor as an entertainment manager and I can tell you without pulling any punches that you are the most dedicated and hardworking of the bunch. You run a terrific business and I want to thank you on behalf of Christine and tell you that we are so happy that you were there to make everything go so smooth and to have so much fun in the process. Should for any reason you would want to use us for a future reference I would be more than happy to give out my home number to a potential client whatever the event may be.

Mr. Hawley has successfully organized 87 youth dances at the Blackburn Hamlet Community Hall. The dances have always been well-attended, most often "sold-out" events. Mr. Hawley and his volunteer stgaff provided a safe, well-managed and enjoyable evening for the youth of Blackburn Hamlet.
