Hawley DJ has been providing quality services since 2002. We offer a wide range of music selections, with quality sound equipment and a variety of lighting features appropriate for your event.

We have 2 complete equipment set ups allowing us to do 2 different events at the same time currently and we expect to add a 3rd unit in the summer of 2007 because of increasing demand for our services.

Colonel By High School Leadership Camp

Our Client Parties range in size from as small as 40 people to over 1000. We work with our clients to create successful events, with many repeat customers and lots of referrals.

Our Equipment:

DJ Robert at work Our lighting effects are a big part of our School Parties successes. You can contact Colonel By Secondary School in Ottawa, W. Erskine Johnson Public School in Kanata or St. Michael High School in Kemptville for references. We own all of our equipment and have it serviced regularly. We have backup equipment available in the event of a breakdown during an event. Our lighting features are among the best is the region. We offer a roto glow light for slow dancing and a double derby coloured light for faster music and both can be mixed together. These are standard lighting for our weddings. We can add many other lights including Mojo’s, Mystics, Spinners, Pipes, our own tri-laser and fog machines and more if your event is looking for these features.

Our equipment is state of the art using CD format, licensed music through the AVLA (Audo Video Licensing Association of Canada). We have over 5000 songs to choose from in our current library and are adding new music every year. We use Mackie powered amps for the best quality sound for your event. Each speaker has a built in amplifier. One single powered amp is all that would be required for any smaller event. We always provide a minimum of 2 speakers per event for sound balance and stereo effects. Mounted on speaker stands we achieve quality sound across a large dance floor with these units. We can comfortably produce enough sound from 2 of these units to meet the requirements for most High School Dances of 300-400 students. A Typical Lighting Setup for High Schools

Weddings:

Our Wedding business increases every year! We have a very competitive price structure for our weddings and we provide extra services others charge additional fees for included in our fee structure. We meet face to face with every client to discuss the specific details of their event months in advance and to give some of our advice on past experiences. We have a contract signed and a deposit paid at that time to hold your event date. We inspect every new site prior to doing the event. We are on site for the event and fully set up at least ½ hour before the first guest arrives. Background music during cocktail hour and dinner are included in the fee. We take requests if that is your preference (90% of which we will have) Specialty ethnic music or lead off songs that we do not have we will play from your collection if in CD format.

Our Fees:

Our Fees vary with the event we are doing. Weddings are based on the size of the crowd, the location of the event and the time frame of the event. For Wedding Clients that are also doing Stag/Doe parties we offer a discount on the Stag/Doe.
